My research interests lie primarily in early childhood moral development. I am interested in how early care, including early education impact prosocial and moral development. I am also interested in ecological morality, and how environmental concerns relate to morality.

Jenny has presented work related to child development and morality at the Society for Research on Adolescence, the Jean Piaget Society, the Association for Moral Education, and the American Educational Research Association. Drawing upon a developmental psychopathology framework, Jenny is interested in the consequences of adaptive and maladaptive emotion regulation for intra- and interpersonal functioning. Her research concentrates on the development of emotion regulation and emotion socialization, focusing on the parent-child relationship as a mechanism of emotion socialization. She is interested in exploring the ways in which both adaptive and maladaptive emotion regulation skills are developed and impacted by the parent-child relationship and early experiences.

Dr. Bock is an educational and developmental psychologist who specializes in moral development. Specifically, she studies how adolescents understand moral problems and see themselves as moral beings. She is interested in the developmental trends of their moral understandings as well as what factors are related to their moral cognition and self-perceptions.
